WELCOMED ANNOUNCEMENT – POSTPONEMENT OF SWIMMING POOL DISCLOSURE REQUIREMENTS

The Office of Local Government has announced that the provisions that require a property with a Swimming Pool and/or Spa to have a Certificate of Compliance before it can be sold or leased will now be postponed to commence on 29 April 2016 – twelve months later than previously indicated. This means that pool Owners will have more time to ensure compliance prior to the sale or lease of their property.
